Use Product Recommendations To Increase Your Bottom Line

Increase YOUR Bottom Line With Product Recommendations

By Diane Thomas

With affiliate marketing there are many ways to increase your sales and improve your earnings. One of the best ways that I have found is using product recommendations.

Product reviews and recommendations can work for you in several ways, so they really do pay off.

Firstly, product recommendations are content for your website, and as we all know original quality content is food for the search engines. You’ll reap more traffic and even more opportunities for sales.

Secondly, by writing a review and truthfully recommending a product you’ll earn trust and loyalty from your visitors. On the other hand, be careful about what you write because it can also be used in reverse.

You can reap some great rewards recommending a product, but ifyou exaggerate the product’s merits and claims you may be setting yourself up for failure.

Your best effort will be with products you have purchased, used and actually know about their good and bad points. If you aren’t really familiar with the product you won’t be able to describe its assets or liabilities accurately - and your customers are looking for truth.

In other words, if you disappoint your customers, they won’t purchase again!

Here are a few tips on how to use a product recommendation effectively:

Express yourself as a leading expert in your field. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they will be more inclined to make a purchase. However, if you’re not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in your products, potential customers won’t have any either - so why would they purchase?

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsementsfrom respected and known personalities, in related fields - and know your product.

Avoid hype at all costs. Be low key, confident, and professional. After all you’re not selling a product you’re providing a product review.

Back up your claims with hard facts and data. Don’t be afraid to say something unflattering about the product. Nothing is perfect and your review can be even more convincing if you share a bad point along with the good ones.

If the product you’re recommending has a trial offer, report or sample pages for review, be sure to offer them. Not being afraid to show your prospective customers what the product is really about or how it performs will also project your confidence in the product.

Only provide product recommendations for products you have 100% confidence in. And be sure you test the product support as well. A good product with little or no product support, should a problem arise, is the same as offering a junk product.

The bottom line is that you aren’t just going after one sale. You want customers to return to you for future purchases, so be careful what you put your good name on.

Lastly, I think you will find, as I have, that using product recommendations to promote your products will be a real boost to your affiliate marketing and a nice addition to your profit line.

To Your Success!
