Welcome to Mary Higgins Clark's world of Mystery and Romance...

Mary Higgins Clark was born and raised in New York. Soon after her marriage to Warren Clark she began writing short stories and sold her first story in 1956. The Clarks had five children. In 1964 Warren Clark died of a heart attack.

After her husband’s death she went to work writing radio scripts to support her family, and also began to write books. Where Are the Children? was her first bestseller. In 1974 she entered Fordham University and graduated summa cum laude in 1979, with a B.A. in philosophy.

In 1996 she married John J. Conheeney. They now reside in Saddle River, New Jersey. go to the author's homepage.
