"The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown:
O, the rising of the sun,
And the running of the deer
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir."

December is a time of rejoicing, a time of giving, and a time of reflection, Harvesting is over, the hard
work is done and we can take a breather - well maybe after the holidays...
December is the time of the Winter Solstice which marks the first day of the season of winter. It's a
celebration of the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, In fact, it's one of the oldest
celebrations in the world. Not one of the major holidays anymore but I celebrate - well, only because it marks my birthday...
For those who celebrate, the holiday season is a wonderful one. Oh yes, there is frustration trying to get
everything done, and getting everyone the "right" gift, but there is also the wonder and joy of kids meeting Santa, sitting
in front of a beautiful Christmas Tree that you and your family decorated together, the look on a loved one's face when they
open the gift you gave, and so much more...
December is also a time for reflection. Particularly once the holidays are over, one starts thinking about
the new year and what we've accomplished in the old. It's a wonderful time to put together your plans for next year, things
you want to change, accomplishments you want to achieve, etc. Sit down and make a plan - you'll be glad you did.
