It's been a very busy month for me. I've been writing my little heart out...

Creating a profitable online business is the goal weíre all striving for. Leaving that 9-5 job and being able to live the lifestyle of your choosing may not be just a dream...

One of the biggest mistakes many business owners make is not having a plan or a business model. Without a system in place we tend to get off track very easily, and can lose our way.

Here are 6 steps that you can use to create a profitable online business for yourself that will make those dreams come true:

1. Find a Profitable Niche Choose a topic that you are interested in, even passionate about. But do your research to make sure that itís going to make you money.

Check out the competition to see what type of products they are selling and note what improvements you can make on those existing products - and any new ideas you may have.

2. Design a Professional Website or Blog The best advertising for your business is your website. Make sure that it looks professional, is easy to navigate and has plenty of original content with emphasis placed on your keywords.

3. Squeeze Page Set up a squeeze page to build your list of subscribers. Yes, the money is still in the list - just remember to make sure you have a legitimate "opt-in" list.

To keep up with the times, placing a professional video on your squeeze page may very well increase the number of visitors subscribing - so keep this in mind.

4. Autoresponder Set up an autoresponder and design a series of emails to follow up with your subscribers. Build your relationship with them first and let them get to know who you are before you start selling to them.

5. Affiliate Products The fastest way to get money flowing into your business is thru affiliate programs. Be sure to choose products wisely.

Make sure products are relevant to your niche, they solve a known problem of your visitors and they will do what they say they will do. The best way to know the real value of the products is by using them yourself.

Promote, promote, promote. Three excellent and cost effective ways to promote your products is with product reviews, article marketing, and viral marketing.

6. Create Your Own Product The best way to have a really profitable business is with your own products. No sharing commissions or waiting on commission monies. Aside from that you will be building your credibility as an expert in your niche.

Information products (eBooks, reports, CDsí, videoís, etc.) are in great demand online and can be produced very economically.

Worried that your writing isnít that good or that you canít come up with great ideas?
