==>Give Yourself a Gift That Will Last All Year Long

It has long been sage advice to writers to keep a journal of thoughts and ideas for stories, scenes and characters that pop into their heads and might otherwise be lost.

This is not just good advice for writers, but for anyone in business as well.

There are so many good ideas that pass through our minds, but due to activities of the day and deadlines that must be kept they are soon forgotten. One of these ideas could be the one to take the Internet by storm and generate millions of dollars - but, alas, itís already long gone and forgotten.

Sound far-fetched? Itís not really. Have you ever had an idea in passing and then seen that very idea taken to fruition later by someone else? It happens all the time!

I use a spiral bound notebook for just this purpose. Actually I use a 3-section notebook. For my purposes, sections are labeled for Websites, Projects and Marketing.

This little bit of organization helps when Iím looking for specific ideas or things I knew I wanted to do, but simply didnít have time when the idea crossed my mind. It works great and only costs a couple of dollars!

You can jot down a new mobile app, diagram a flow chart, write out a problem in need of a solution, ideas for a website, a product launch or eBook, new marketing ideas you want to try, just about anything that could be valuable in the future.

Many of these ideas will never be used, but knowing that the few that are would have been lost had I not written them down, makes the exercise well worth the effort.

I know that youíve got thousands of ideas inside of you just waiting for the right moment when you can put them to use. All you have to do is get them on paper so that when the time is right youíll be ready!

A simple spiral bound notebook may just change your future. This holiday season; take the first step to get those ideas out of your head and onto paper.

"A lofty idea must be had, not of what one is doing, but of what one may some day do. Otherwise there is no point in working on." -- Edgar Hilaire Germain Degas
