Amazon Kindle

Is there any way that Amazon Kindles can be lit up when you are in a less than minimal light so we can still read? I really enjoy my kindle and promote it wherever I go! The only thing I don't like other than this is the fact that it is limited in the number of books you can archive without having to buy a new kindle.
